The 9th Himi “Kito Kito” Manga Road Grand Prix

Overview of the Awards

From May 5th to June 30 of this year, we received 262 works of art  from all over Japan. Fujiko Fujio, the creator of Himi’s legendary Hattori-kun, decided the winners.

Fujiko Fujio-sensei’s comments

Overall Impression: “The level of quality was so high this year, I had a hard time deciding. This year’s theme was really broad, so I was impressed with everyone’s originality!”

Adult Division: The works that won awards this year were really amazing stuff. In particular the winner, ”I Love Corn!!”, is a perfect picture of happiness. The runner-up, “The 5 Year Calendar”, had a lot of good points as well!

Junior Division: There were so many fun pictures, I couldn’t help but laugh as I went through them. The runner-up and honorable mentions as well had great ideas that the drawings matched well. Good job!
